Features and applications of Lvl plywood
Due to the structure of many layers of wood arranged in the same direction, Lvl has high strength and great bending strength, easy to bend when needed. Because of that feature, Lvl plywood is often used for frame systems, beams, boards and edge materials.
This type of board is usually produced with popular sizes as:
Length: 2.44 (m)
Width: 0.6; first; 1.2 (m)
Thickness: 21 – 120 (mm)
Compare LVL, LVB, and Plywood plywood
Plywood and Lvb are two plywood types that have much in common with Lvl. They are all made up of many thin layers of wood (Veneer) pressed on top of each other under high pressure with Melamine or Phenolic glue adhesive.
Unlike Lvl, Plywood has layers arranged at right angles to each other. This gives Plywood high structural stability and high destructive strength, suitable for making furniture products, attic floors, container floors, door frames, etc.
